LA Erupts in Celebration as Dodgers Claim Back-to-Back World Series Victory
The City of Angels witnessed widespread celebrations after the Los Angeles Dodgers clinched a nail-biting seven-game World Series title. Fans worldwide joined local residents in jubilation, marking the first time in a quarter-century that a franchise has secured back-to-back championships.
Victory Parade Draws Massive Crowds
Local celebrations featured a downtown parade on the morning of the parade, a reserved-seating event at the team's home stadium, and impromptu gatherings throughout the city.
Online footage depict thousands of Angelenos flooding city center avenues, many displaying handmade banners and Dodger flags. The team was seen traveling proudly on a double-decker bus through the masses, hoisting the Commissioner’s trophy high.
“My focus is already about the next championship we’re going to do this,” Shohei Ohtani remarked through an interpreter.
The parade route concluded at the stadium, where the team walked out to Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us,” with DJ Mustard spinning music and Ice Cube cruising a Pacific blue vintage Cadillac around the field.

Celebrations began well before the procession, with supporters lighting flares in the roads of Downtown Los Angeles on the previous evening.
The World Series MVP, awarded the MVP of the championship, spoke directly about the win.

In contrast, Mark Walter was met with a cooler welcome at the rally. Video footage from the event seem to depict Walter walking onstage to a mix of applause and boos, with negative shouts interrupting his address.
The championship acted as a bright spot in what has been a trying year for the city. An estimated quarter-million people showed up to the Dodgers’ victory parade last year, and according to team member one athlete, fans this year showed equal or greater enthusiasm.
“I feel like it’s nearly twice from last year,” he said. “These fans are crazy. It’s truly amazing to be a involved in this.”
